Travelling by car to La Chabroulie

Depending on how quickly you wish to travel
The Eurotunnel saves an hour or two by comparison to the Ferry

We have tried several routes.. ie. via Poitiers and Angouleme, and via Paris
However one of the best to date is...
A16 Boulogne to Abbeville
A28 to Rouen
Through Rouen (direction Paris A13 then Evreux N154 at first opportunity)
N154 to Evreux
N154 to Dreux
N154 to Chartres
N154 to A10 Orleans
A10 to Orleans
We found that a stopover made the journey more pleasant
just off the A10 onto the A71 and coming off at junct.1 La Chapelle St Mesmin... along the road is Hotel Ageris which was clean, polite, cheap and cheerful,
and a nice Italian style restaurant and a bar/cafe within 20 yards.
Straight back onto the motorway A71 south towards Vierzon and Limoges in the morning, with just a few hours drive
A71 to Vierzon
A20 to Limoges

Come off at junction 28 before Limoges
N520 and N141 then D32 to St. Junien
D675 to Rochechouart then St. Mathieu
From St. Matieu, direction South.. Nontron

After approx. 1 to 2 miles, Turn right here:-

and a few hunderd yards later turn right here...

La Chabroulie is on the right approx. 1 mile along the road...

Or alternatively:-
After approx. 1 to 2 miles signpost La Chabroulie turn right.. (and then left where the road forks)
Upto small crossroads turn left (Madame Blanchon's house is on the corner with a well in the garden) and the house is a few hundred yards on the left.
