The Périgord region of France is renowned for it's cordon bleu cuisine and fine wines.
Set in the beautiful Dordogne countryside(south west France), this holiday house is complete with 5 acres of grounds and a one acre lake.
Wonderfully tranquil, this detached property is several hundred yards away from the nearest neighbours, a small hamlet,
and within easy walking distance of the village Champniers-Reilhac
The pool is now fully installed; surrounding tiling will be completed early next year when the ground has settled.
There are plenty of fish in the lake (and crayfish), Carp I think.. I am not a fisherman, but we hear them jumping out the water frequently.
Throughout the summer there are many local village fetes, they have quite a traditional french flavour and vary greatly from place to place
Excellent walking/fishing and bicycling, there are many places to visit in Dordogne for a whole range of activities:- shopping, citylife,
castles/chateaux, boating/swimming, the local markets...
Typical temperatures are:-
July and August 30-35 degrees, little rain, the occassional thunderstorm in the evening
May, June and September 18-25 degrees, a beautiful time of year, less conjestion...

5 minutes walk along the road is Chateau Rocher.
3 miles north is Le Lac de St. Mathieu.
Within easy reach of Limoges, Angouleme, Brantome and Perigeux.
45mins. to Futurescope, Poitiers

By car:- The eurotunnel is very quick and efficient; 12hours door to door driving from Nottinghamshire.
By plane:- East midlands to Limoges (1hr30mins) Ryan Air and 45 mins. drive from Limoges to La Chabrolie.
